Zero monthly fees for the ReCharge standard plan – starting June 1st
ReCharge has introduced some key changes to their pricing to make the ReCharge subscription platform more accessible to new merchants everywhere. Most notably, they are removing the fixed monthly fee from the ReCharge Standard Plan for new merchants. To explain their change, they said they want merchants to have the best ecommerce subscription platform with no restrictions from day one. With this change, they effectively remove the need for a limited trial period. Merchants can install, configure and even launch their store with ReCharge for free and they won’t see any charges until they acquire their first set of customers.
The table below summarizes all the changes to the Standard Plan; these changes will apply to new customers as of June 1st, 2021.
In their research, they found that the fixed monthly fees are a significant cost to new merchants working hard to build a sustainable revenue stream. By eliminating the monthly fees, they can significantly reduce the merchant cost to deploy subscriptions, which in turn gives the merchant the opportunity to boost customer’s revenue.
They’ll continue to charge a 1% processing fee and the transaction fee has now been adjusted to $0.10. This adjustment allows them to better align their fee structure directly with merchant revenue.
